Single Girder Overhead Crane

Overhead crane, generally called as bridge crane, is a type of material handling system which can be found in any industrial environment. An overhead crane consists of two parallel runways with a travelling bridge spanning the gap. It can be electrically operated by control pendant, radio remote pendant or from the operator cabin  to handle heavy loads vertically and horizontally within any confined space in a factory building. Unlike mobile or construction cranes, overhead crane are typically used in manufacturing or maintenance purposes where efficiency and downtime are critical factors. These industries includes aerospace, transportation, construction,energy, manufacturing, mining and so on.  

There are few types of overhead crane can be found commonly in the market: these includes single girder travelling cranes, double girder travelling cranes and underslung travelling cranes. It can be designed based on the client's requirement, span length and the capacity of crane in order to decide which type of overhead crane is suitable for the usage.

Single Girder Overhead Travelling Cranes are one of the material handling solution which eventually consist of one girder beam with monorail hoist mounted under the beam. They can cater up to SWL 16 Ton and span of up to 39 meters depends on the load capacity. This bridge crane enables very good utilization even in low hall and able to achieve optimal lifting height.
